First post

First post!

Ok, since I don't have a lot of time, I'll get to the point.

For my coursework, my task is to prepare a simple nutritious dish (be it a main course or a dessert) for both my younger sister and me. I need to plan my spending of money (given a budget of $10 only, really?) as well as my food to be prepared. And here's the catch: the food I cook must be nutritious. Aka, healthy.

Well. Most of my ideas are cut down by a lot.

In summary:

  1. Plan one nutritious dish to prepare in an hour, with specific criteria in mind (explained later)
  2. Explain choice of ingredients used and the dish I have decided to cook.
  3. Cook.
Deciding on how to make my dish healthier is going to be a hard time.

The cost of the ingredients cannot exceed $10, I have to prepare this in one hour, and it has to look and taste nice! T^T

At first, I was thinking of doing cupcakes, but I thought it would be too unhealthy and scrapped that. So instead, I thought, why not cook instead of bake? Baking usually uses stuff like butter and sugar, which is fattening.

So I thought, do pasta instead. So when researching, I came upon this website and decided to cook pasta according to this recipe.

Later! :)
